Our Rooms

Baby (0-2 years)

In our Baby Room our highly experienced staff team care for children under 1 year of age, our minimum staff ratio in our baby room is one member of staff to every three children and were possible this number will be lower. Our priority is to create a home away from home for your baby where they can grow and develop in a safe and stimulating enviroment.

We offer a wide variety of activities and opportunities for your baby to participate in. We try to get outdoors as often as possible and our babies enjoy walks around our local community as well as picnics in the park and visits to local landmark.

Toddler (2-3 years)

Our Toddler Room provides a structured day with a greater choice of learning opportunities including arts and crafts, construction activities, cooking and baking experiences and much more. We will introduce early numeracy and literacy through play based activities designed to develop your child’s communication skills. Our minimum staff to child ratio in our Toddler Room is one member of staff to every five children.

During your child’s time in our Toddler Room, we will aim to provide them with a wide range of experiences and opportunities to develop their confidence and independence, ready for their transition to our 3-5s Room.

3-5s Room

Happitots Nursery is recognised as a 3 – 5 year old centre by the local Education Department. In our 3-5s Room children will follow the Curriculum for Excellence. Your child will progress to the 3-5s Room at around 3 years of age and stay in this room until they go off to school!

Our minimum staff to child ratio in our 3-5s Room is one member of staff to every eight children.

Our 3-5 year old children benefit from an extensive variety of resources and activities which are available both indoors as well as outdoors. Our 3-5 year old children also benefit from being visited by our local teacher who offers more focused learning opportunities for your child to get involved with.

We pride ourselves on ensuring that when children leave nursery to move on to school, they do so confidently and independently, whilst taking with them the enjoyment of learning and a pride in their achievements.
